This is a world class Zoo. We would like to spend more time there next time.

Review: by Dad

We have not been to this zoo in a while, but it is outstanding. I was impressed by every aspect of this zoo. It is educational, entertaining, and a pleasant place to be. We did get caught in a downpour, and had to ride it out in a food court, but even that was a fun adventure.

The number of animals presented here is amazing. I have been to many zoos in my day, and there were animals that I had never seen before. I had seen one of the great draws of the park before, the komodo dragon, but it was the first time for the boys, and they were dually amazed. The Kkomodo here is huge, probably the biggest I have seen in a zoo, but he is just as inactive as the others. They are kind of like pandas in that the joy is seeing them because they are so rare, not because of their interesting behavior or atheletic prowess.

My personal favorite was going into the Austrailian area in the same building as the Komodo Dragon. There were many animals that I had never seen, and many nocturnal animals also. This is the first time I had seen a monotreme, the resident spiny anteater (echidna). It is getting harder and harder to have these first viewings as I get older, so it is wonderful to find a zoo that will offer these opportunities.

We spent 3 hours and felt we only scratched the surface. If you go plan to spend as much time as you can. You will not be disappointed, unless, like us, you have to leave too soon.

Additional Review:

Sam:  “This is the first place I saw a Smart Car!"

Will: "The Komodo Dragon was HUGE!"
