This is a nice Hands-On scince museum.

Review: by Dad

Okay, I just found out they changed their name in June 2009. The new facility will be open again in October! We went here a couple of times when it was called COSI. We had a blast. It looks like most of the same stuff is there. If you really want to hit this place hard, it is connected to a hotel, so you could just spend the night right there.

There is a great Rube Goldberg machine (Click here to see a fun Rube Goldberg Machine from the Mythbusters) in the front of the museum that can keep you all occupied for hours. Inside the museum there are many different great exhibits. You can ride a bike on a high wire (safely that is) but no one in our family was tall or brave enough.

The little kids area was interesting, and so was the waterworks. The simulation theater was really fun, but the thing that really got the kids interested was the Whiz Bang engineering area. In this area the kids (and adults for that matter) were able to play with industrial-strength erector sets and various robots. Sam built quite the sturdy bridge.

The price of admission was well worth the day of fun. I honestly don't know how many kids over 14 would enjoy this that much. Hands-On museums seem to really focus on kids the age of 3 to 12, and this one is no different.

Additional Review:

Sam: One cool thing about this museum is that it is close to Mudhens Stadium. You can drive by the stadium to see where the famous Toledo Mudhens have played for years.

Will: We all spent a lot of time throwing baseballs to see how fast we could throw, and sprinting down the hall to see how fast we could run. It was really fun.
